The way to Cartagena and the walled city.

Updated: Mar 4

Bus time again and the bus station is quite out of the city. Terminal de Transportes de Barranquilla is easy to use when you are there. Espresso Brasillia is our operator COP 30000 (around £6) for the 2 hours trip with frequencies every hour or even half hour some hours.

The trip took 2 and half hours because was a slower bus. A nice fried arepa on the way by a guy who came on the bus did not fix a creeping belly ache from last night but certainly smelled and tasted great.

We arrived at the apartment that is in Bocagrande a non descriptive area with high rises in front of a very average beach. That way though you avoid the risk of being in a noisy street in the walled city of Cartagena (a lottery)

For the evening we went in a nice restaurant and ate paella with all kind of sea food.
